Over one thousand years ago, a poet expressed his sadness of “wild southern area” in a curving courier route of Chenzhou city, but over one thousand years later, it became one of the excellent tourism cities of China.

If going northward by Jingguang railway or Jingzhu expressway, Chenzhou city is the first stop of Hunan province. Maybe because of the magic of Chenjiang river or Suxianling- the 18th blessing place of China, many outstanding people of ancient China as Zhao Zilong of the Three Kingdoms period, Wang Changling, Du Fu, Han Yu, Liu Zongyuan and Liu Yuxi of Tang Dynasty, Qin Shaoyou, Zhou Dunyi and Yuefei of Dong Dynasty and some other celebrities had been there and left famous poets and legends there.

Chenzhou city is a tourism resort of Hunan province. Though Suxianling where is famous as the 18th blessing place of China is just 10.8 square kilometers big, it is a natural scenery with the features of Taoism and ecological viewing. There are many famous legends of Suxianling, such as Bailudong, Shengxianshi, Wangmusong and some other immortals’ relics, Suxian Taoism Temple where arrested General Zhang Xueliang, monument of Qin Shaoyou, Su Dongpo and Mi Pei, and etc. Chinese Women Volleyball Team which won Athens Olympic stepped to the world from there.

Wanhuayan where is about 20kms away from Chenzhou urban area is famous as the world’s wonderful krast cave. In 1988 when the experts of krast cave expedition of USA explored to Wanhuayan, they stated that “Wanhuayan can be compatible to the most wonderful krast caves of the world”. Due to there are so many mysterious natural phenomenon available in the cave, a joint Sino-America expedition team explored to Wanhuayan but failed to find out more secrets.

Dongjiang Lake where is famous as “Dongting lake in South Hunan province”, Feitianshan National Geographic Park, and some other famous tourism landscapes are available in Chenzhou city. Tourists can enjoy the rich blessing culture of Chenzhou city when travelling around there.
